 • LDC meeting after Valencia

Posted by behnke at 2006-10-19 05:31 AM

Dear collegue,

we like to remind you that we have scheduled a LDC meeting right after the Valencia ECFA LC meeting. The LDC meeting will start in the early afternoon of Friday, and run until noon on Saturday.

The main topics of the meeting will be the following:

- discussion on recent developments of the detector baseline. We like to review the studies which have been done until now on the detector optimisation, discuss the findings, and try to reach a conclusion for a "baseline geometry" (which might be different from the one documented in the DOD)

- You probably have followed the recent discussions on crossing angle, detector assembly and (most recently) push-pull for the detectors. We like to review the changes, and discuss the LDC position in particular in view of the push-pull solution

- We like to invite the subdetector groups to present any updates on the detector design, if there are news which are of relevance for the concept as a whole. Of course we should avoid duplication of talks given at the ECFA meeting

- We like to initiate a discussion of the next steps in the LDC concept group.

Please send proposals for contributions to one or all of
mbattaglia@lbl.gov,
ties.behnke@desy.de,
henri.videau@in2p3.fr,
karlen@uvic.ca

Many thanks,

Ties
